Course Description

4860K. Spec Tpcs Comp Acct Quickbooks. Subject matter, credit hours, and prerequisites will be announced in advance of each topic. Prereq.: Permission of department chairperson. 2.5 overall GPA. 1-4 s.h.

This course provides students with hands-on experience using QuickBooks Online to perform computerized accounting tasks throughout the complete accounting cycle. Students learn how to create and manage company files, record business transactions, maintain customer and vendor accounts, process sales and purchases, manage inventory, reconcile bank accounts, process payroll, prepare adjusting entries, and generate financial statements. Through practical exercises and real-world business scenarios, students develop the technical skills needed to utilize cloud-based accounting software effectively for small and medium-sized businesses.
