Course Description
4815. Unit Operations 2. Gas absorption and desorption, interphase mass transfer processes, liquid extraction and leaching. Physical separation processes including filtration, settling, and size reduction. Derivation of the design equations for the above processes, and applications of the design equations to equipment design. Prereq.: C or better in CHEN 3787. Coreq.: CHEN 4815R. 3 s.h.
