Course Description

3720. Cultural Diversity. This course emphasizes understanding the experiences, values, beliefs, and inherent problems of racial, ethnic, and other vulnerable population groups. The course focuses on groups affected by socioeconomic disparities, gender, sexual orientation and expression, religion, physical and cognitive challenges, and age. Students will be asked to apply theories, use differential assessments, and develop and use intervention skills necessary for effective social work practice with a diverse population. 3 s.h.
