Feedback on dissertation drafts, Chapter 5 submissions, and revisions is generally provided within one to two weeks, depending on the length and complexity of the submission. Students are expected to maintain regular communication with their dissertation chair and respond promptly to feedback throughout the dissertation writing and revision process.

This course does not rely on a traditional textbook beyond the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th ed.). Students will use Youngstown State University dissertation resources, including the YSU Dissertation Guidelines, dissertation templates, Graduate School resources, Blackboard course materials, and scholarly literature related to their individual research topics. Additional readings may be recommended by the instructor or dissertation chair to support Chapter 5 development, dissertation revision, and preparation for committee review and the final dissertation defense.
The course readings are subject to change in the event of extenuating circumstances, research developments, current events, and/or to ensure better learning.
