Course Description
This graduate seminar examines how artificial intelligence is reshaping music creation, the music industry, and music education. Through critical inquiry and applied projects, students progress from foundational understanding to industry analysis, creative experimentation, pedagogical application, and the development of informed leadership perspectives. Emphasizing the principles of understanding, adapting, advocating, and competing in response to emerging technologies, the course prepares musicians and educators to engage thoughtfully and responsibly in an AI-influenced musical future.
