Course Description

2610L. General Physics laboratory 1. Experimental work designed to supplement the PHYS 2610, 2611 sequence. Three hours per week. Prereq. or concurrent: PHYS 2610 or PHYS 2601 for PHYS 2610L. 1 s.h.

Required The Physics Lab Manual I (REVISED EDITION): Experiments to Accompany Physics 1501L/2610L at Youngstown State University W. Cochran

Students are expected to read the experiment in the lab manual BEFORE coming to class.  There may be short quizzes given at the beginning of the lab period on the reading for that day’s experiment.

It is also important to read the introduction of the lab manual.  This section discusses the laboratory report, error analysis, and a math review.  The introduction will help you write lab reports and provide information that will be included in the exit examination.
