Course Description

2602F. Honor Sem Current Issues. An interdisciplinary seminar series dealing with topics appropriate to students in the Honors Program. The subjects include, but are not limited to, creativity, the organization and function of the university, the total human being, critical thinking, current events, etc. Prereq.: Eligibility for the Honors Program. 1-2 s.h.

In-class discussions are based on reading, comprehending, and evaluating a set of online articles selected by students leading the discussion. Readings will be assigned a week ahead of the discussion. Discussion topics are not known prior to the start of the semester, so readings cannot be pre-selected.

Wed	10/7	Discussion #12	Topic: Current Issues for Prior Generations Informal class evaluation	Students are expected to conduct two interviews with individuals representing their parents' generation and two individuals representing their grandparents' generation. Interviewees shall be asked to identify three topics that were important to members of their generation representing a time frame where they would have been in their late teens or early twenties.
