Course Description
8916. Health Care Policy. The primary focus of this course is to explore the leadership role of nurses in health policy development and implementation as well as the role of research in health care policy formation and planning. Special emphasis is placed on selected national and international health policy issues that form the socio-political and economic context of nursing care and practice. Ethical dimensions of public policy formulations and implementation are highlighted. 3 s.h.
