3735. Juvenile Delinquency. Social and psychological factors underlying delinquency; the juvenile court and probation; treatment and preventive measures. Prereq.: SOC 1500 or CRJS 1500. 3 s.h.

11/9 Review Siegel Chapters and Instructor's Notes to reference on the Discussion Board Second Graded Discussion (100 points) Due 11:59 om Nov, 15 To what extent should juvenile offenders be treated differently than adult offenders? Reference your input by citing the relevant page reading assignment page number (Siegal, 450) and/or Instructor’s Notes or (ACA Audit Standards, 2). Your posting should address such issues as at what age a person should be tried as an adult vs. tried as a juvenile, methods of incarceration, treatment programs, use of force, diversion courts, etc. You should address issues covered in this class and any ideas of your own.
