ASST 1550 Introduction to Asian Studies 3 s.h.
Focus is on the early and modern Asian civilizations, their religious and cultural diffusion and diversity, and important economic and political developments in the contemporary period. Interest also centers on the impact of social and cultural changes resulting from shifting local, national, and global dynamics. The course serves as an entry to the Asian Studies minor.
