Certificate Description

The health care management graduate certificate is a collaborative program between The Bi­tonte College of Health and Human Services and the Warren P. Williamson, Jr. College of Busi­ness Administration. The sequence of 18 semester hours is designed to meet the needs of students and working professionals preparing for leadership roles in health care management. The certifi­cate consists of six semester hours of business tool courses and twelve semester hours of health care management courses.

Admission requirements

In addition to the minimum College of Graduate Studies admission require­ments, applicants must complete the following undergraduate courses or their equivalent:

Students should complete any undergraduate deficiency coursework before completion of the third semester of graduate work and must complete it prior to enrolling in related graduate-level courses.  Also, applicants must submit name and contact information for three references:

  • one from a faculty member,
  • one from an employer, and
  • one from another source, or
  • two from faculty members and one from another source.

Regular admission requires a cumulative undergraduate grade point average of at least 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale).
